Just Back from 24 days in Costa Rica!
Just got back early this morning from our wonderful wedding/honeymoon in Costa Rica...trip report to follow after we get settled back at home, rifle through hundreds of photos, & pay all our bills, etc...
But I wanted to send a huge thank you to all that have posted their experiences on this board, especially to Suzie2 without whom we would have never found Orlando Vargas, our naturalist tour guide, who accompanied us & 20+ of our closest friends & family around CR for the week leading up to the wedding (and transported us between hotels during our honeymoon)-- everyone adored him & everything that week went better then I could have imagined -- he made our trip (even got us a perfect queztal viewing, mating pair, on our first day in CR...we've come back psuedo-birders
-- THANK YOU Suzie!
A rough outline of our itinerary:
Group trip:
Hotel Bougainvillea, Heredia 2nts
Poas & Saraquipi river day tour
La Pradera, Arenal 2nts
Canopy tour, La Fortuna waterfall, Tabacon, Hanging Bridges & El Novillo
Club del Sol, Jaco 3nts
Day trip to Manuel Antonio
Wedding - Pura Vida Gardens & Waterfalls, near Tarcoles (gorgeous, had scarlet macaws flying over the hills after the ceremony & fireworks after dark -- stunning!)
Honeymoon:
Casa Chameleon, Mal Pais 4nts
Bosque de Paz, Cloud/Rain forest 3nts
Peace Lodge, Vara Blanca 3nts
Bosque del Cabo, Osa 5nts
Xandari, Ajuela 1nt

I'm so glad you had a good trip and congratulations! What a wonderful way to start a new life together. We just celebrated 35 yrs together a few days ago.
Can't wait to read more and hopefully see some pics. Reality does hit with a bang after that long of a trip. We all understand and will be patient.

Wow! i'd forgotten what a marvelous itinerary you had--lots of fun the week before and such fabulous honeymoon locations!
How nice that Orlando was with you and your family and friends to make everything fun and smooth. That must have been a real treat.
Congratulations and may the honeymoon never end! We're celebrating 32 years on Summer Solstice, June 21. I'll be in school in Costa Rica, husband will be on a mission trip in Mexico!
