Jaco Weather in October

We are planning on being in the Jaco and the Maniel Antonio area during rainy season in October. Can anyone tell me what the typical weather is like? Should I expect rain all day? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

If you're going to Jaco and MA, it sounds like you're looking at a beachy vacation where good weather would be important. October is such a gamble in that sense. It's the rainiest month and on occasion you'll get rain all day, all night for days at a time. Does it have to be October? Does it have to be Costa Rica?

Thanks for the info. Yes it has to be in October. This is a family vacation and with all our schedules October was the only month we could all travel together. We have a nice villa to rent in Playa Hermosa near Jaco. We're just hoping that we're not totally rained out.

There are still many things you can do when it's raining, and people still do come to Costa Rica in October. Nature-type tours generally go on rain or shine. I've gone on nature hikes in the pouring rain and had a blast.

I am saying that if you're counting on sunny days on the beach, October could disappoint you. Have plenty of alternate activities in mind.
