We've been there twice in July and it is going to be hot and humid. It shouldn't rain all the time. We had a couple of small showers, then one night it rained really hard. You will definitely have a good time.

Thank-You for your reply; what activities do you recommend, and did you go on any tours......What was the high-light of your vacation in Ixtapa?

The first time we went we stayed at Las Brisas which was secluded from the rest of Ixtapa. We went deep-sea fishing, spent a day on Ixtapa Island where we snorkelled and took a day trip to Acapulco, just to see the cliff divers and see what the city looked like. We did not go A/I, so we tried out several restaurants in Ixtapa and Zihua. We splurged twice and ate at La Villa de la Selva and La Casa Que Canta, both with excellent food and service and to die-for sunset views. We also ate at El Faro, which overlooks all of Ixtapa. We went into Zihua and walked around and hit the tourist market there, which is larger than the one in Ixtapa. The 2nd trip, we stayed A/I at the Barcelo and really liked the location better because we could walk up and down the beach and there was more activity. We pretty much just relaxed that trip and did not take any tours. As far as highlights, my hubby would say the eight foot sailfish he caught; I would have to say just experiencing another area in Mexico that we hadn't been was the highlight for me.
