You should not need A/C at that date. Most inexpensive hotels will not have A/C but ceiling fans, which are quite adequate. A short list appears here:
http://vallarta-info.com/puertovallartainsider.html
the prices may be slightly higher this coming season but that will not start till about Nov.15th.
BTW the cheap ones do not take reservations.
JR

Franceen:

The best place with air that is inexpensive that I would highly recommend is the Hotel Posada Rio Cuale. I hope that you are arriving after I check out - Oct. 24-28 for business.

If you are there the same time, tell the front desk that I sent you, and ask for either Room #216 or 225 (these have A/C and TV), if you arrive after I leave, ask for Room #224 (I usually stay in this room and it has A/C and TV). It will run about $30 USD per night, has 24 security, on-site restaurant and pool, and is walking distance to everything and one block from the beach.

Hope this helps. As always, I am

Very truly yours,

Kathy Lynn Kinzel
Travel/Wedding Consultant
Vallarta My Way
Puerto Vallarta/Mexico Specialist
