If you had to choose....
one place to stay in BA (two nights) before heading out of Argentina on a plane back home... where would it be???
I'm talking a romantic stay full of character and charm for a couple who enjoys to get out and walk around the city, eat a good meal, and enjoy their last bit of Argentinian fun before heading home!
Any suggestions???
(I know there's price, neighborhoods, etc. But where would you stay on your last two nights in town aside from everything?)

I don't "know" this because my trip isn't until Nov. but I've been researching our 3week honeymoon since May. I've decided on "Art" hotel in Recoletta. It appears to have very romantic charm, nice price and nice area. I hope I'm right. Maybe someone will need to shoot me down now but at least you will have a response.

In a 5-star hotel in Recoleta, such as http://tinyurl.com/3ud3rp or in one of the "boutique" hotels in Palermo.
I recently started a thread about boutique hotels in BA.
Have a great time in our town.

Thank you!!
ToddPBrown - Congratulations! I'm sure you will have an amazing honeymoon. I will check out Art.
Avrooster - I pulled up the article you posted in another stream, and while I'm not so good at translating, the list of boutique hotels at the bottom is great!
Victoriasefue - I did some google searching for Kristi hotel in Palermo and didn't come up with anything. I'll keep looking, but do you have the website??
Thanks again, and more suggestions are always welcome! We're so excited to get there, just a couple weeks away!!

Hi
I think it's the Krista hotel in Palermo, not Kristi. At least, the Krista is a boutique hotel in Palermo (I found it in the article about 34 boutique hotels in Buenos Aires)
Here's a link to their website
http://www.kristahotel.com.ar/
We will be in Buenos Aires the beginning of February for three nights and I am trying to figure out hotel options also.
Any suggestions / recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Pamela

I agree with AV: Choose either a five star hotel in Recoleta or a Boutique hotel in Palermo Soho or Hollywood or Las Canitas.
Art hotel has a certain bohemian charm, but lacks the finish materials and upscale feel of many of the newer boutique hotels. The small and cozy rooms can be downright depressing and dreary.
My short list of cream of the crop boutique hotels.
