<BR>We stayed at this resort about 2 or 3 years ago. It's very nice and it's safe to drink the water. We didn't have any problems with sickness or anything. You will see a lot of Americans there. The weather should be perfect. Hope this helps.

We were there late last March with three young kids. Weather was lovely. Beautiful resort, very clean; I never heard of anyone getting sick there. Lots of Americans and Canadians.

Not sure about the junior suite. We had interconnecting rooms for the five of us, very spacious. Tulum is definitely worth visiting--it's not a big site, and the kids can swim there. We rented a car for a day.

I went to Iberostar Quetzal in May, I thought it was quite simply THE BEST. No one has mentioned the incredible tropical forest that runs through this resort, with small Central American tapirs scampering about, the stone walkways that lead down to the pool and beach area-always active-always something going on for kids and adults alike-pottery painting, Spanish lessons, etc. I could not get over that each of the diff. bldgs. had something beautiful to look at-either a stream down below-or a flamingo pool-various tropical birds-it was fantastic! Adults and children alike from other resorts came to the Quetzal/Tucan (they are 2 sections of the same resorts) simply to look at the flora and fauna, where there are signs all about to tell you what is there. In the middle of the jungle, there is a fantastic beach bar-nightclub-entertainment space-where you can sit and have a drink and look out and hopefully, see the family of monkeys swinging high up in the trees! The food, ambience, everything was what I would want in a resort-and for children, I simply cannot imagine a better place to go in all of Mexico. This hotel is consistently rated the #1 spot in PDC with almost a 100% satisfaction rating-almost unheard of. I know, you and your family will love it!
