We enjoyed our stay here over Xmas 2000. It's one of the smaller properties along the hotel zone and never felt crowded even over the holiday season. The beach/pool area (not the main pool area) in front of the Regency Club lounge was usually fairly empty if you prefer someplace quiet. My only complaint was I didn't think the food at the Blue Bayou was very good.

We stayed at this property last year. It was quiet. The pool area was very nice, and the beach was lovely, but usually fairly rough for wimpy swimmers like me. One of the best things about the place for us was its location. We like to walk and the Hyatt's location allowed us to walk to several of the area malls. We found that there were several decent restaurants in the malls. It did look like the hotel was gearing up for major time share renovations, so I'd ask some questions before I booked there.

I will be staying at the Hyatt Caribe in December. I have read many reviews and they were all very positive. I was wondering if anyone could give me a rough idea of the prices of breakfast, lunch and drinks are. I have dined at the Blue Bayou before while staying at the Hilton. The Hyatt has an all-inclusive option that is $80 per day/per person. I have read one review that said drinks were $10 each. If that is the case, I will go AI. I appreciate any input. Thank you.

We didn't eat at any of the restaurants at the Hyatt when we stayed there. I recall breakfast as mostly being a buffet. Somewhere between $15-20.00. I guess we were never around at lunch, but the 'casual' restaurant was buffet again for dinner (I think). We hadn't heard great things about Blue Bayou, so didn't eat there. We tend to drink beer and wine, I recall a Corona at the pool bar to be about $4.00
