I am considering renting a house for our family (6 adults, a 3 year old and twin 1 year olds) What should we know about the area?

Was there once w/our mexican friends town seems very quiet, nice area, very nice beach. Not far from Nuevo Vallarta

We stayed in Sayulita for a week in February. It's about a 1/2 hour north of Bucerias. We needed to go to Bucerias to get cash so spent an afternoon there. The town was bigger than what I thought it would be, but the beach looked great. Lots of restaurants, etc. (We ate lunch at a wonderful place called Mark's.) Overall it looked like great beach area.

You probably realize this, because I assume PVR is how you'll fly in, but Bucerias is only 30-45 mins. north of Puerto Vallarta if you want to go back into El Centro for a day trip, or shopping, restaurants, a bit of siteseeing. This is easily done by taxi or local bus.
