Hotel in Monteverde?

Eanding our Costa Rican vacation with two nights in Monteverde. Any recommended hotels from you experienced travelers in the area? We want to do the Sky Trek, the Butterfly, Hummingbird, Reptile exhibit, Cheese Factory, etc. while in that area and looking for something close to these activities. We have our own vehicle to get around.

I thought the cabins at El Sapo Dorado were great. Very simple, but great location and well run.

A nice hotel is the Trapp Familiy close to the parque entrance. I found it on the map of Monteverde.

Second El Sapo Dorado. Even with the huge scorpion in our room and the monkeys walking all over the roof of our cabin at night.

Hi Cher,
Cool, huh?!

I may have mentioned to you earlier that we liked El Sapo Dorado, the restaurant was particularly good. That's where the waiter carried Isa around and put her to sleep when she was 5 months old--while we finished our meal.

Humberto likes Establo, and I may have mentioned that already also. Can't remember. . .definitely you should request location to get the view.

Also, I think the Arco Iris suggestion is a good one. Sounds like a nice place and many recommend it.

Hope all is well with you, talk to you soon. J.
