Hi Sandy,
I believe there are two Buenaventura hotels in PV. If you mean the Buenaventura Hotel & Beach Club, we stayed there in 1997 and thought it was nice. So we stayed there again in 2001 and found it to be sort of run down and "tired". The service was still good, but it is not the "nicest" place by far. We decided if we ever go to PV again we'll stay at the Krystal or in another area of PV (Nuevo Vallarta perhaps). Of course, it's all a matter of opinion/taste so you may like it just fine. Enjoy your trip.
Pam

Yes, it is the Buenaventurra Resort and Beach club. That is too bad that is a run down, though I got such a good deal I am not too worried about it.

How would you rate the neighborhood it is in?

thanks
sandy

Sandy- the Hotel Buenaventura is right in town. I have stayed there 3 times in the past but before they remodled and turned into a Beach Club. I will be staying there in May doing the all inclusive because the price is right and i really like the location. Last year we stay at the Melia ( farther north by the Marina) but went into town alot to eat even tho the Melia is an All inclusive too. It was worth it just to not hassle with paying for drinks and having food whenever we wanted. What price did you pay and when are you going?

I am going in March 18-22.
I paid a ridiculously low price of $199 for roundtrip airfare/transfers and hotel from Oakland, CA.
However, we opted to not get the all inclusive package, it was $140 more, which is a good price, but we don't plan on staying at the hotel much, and already have a list of a few restaurants we plan on going to.

Thanks for your help!!
Sandy
