Honduras in June/July?!?
I'm thinking about a trip to Honduras this June or July. I am interested in Copan, San Pedro Sula, La Cieba, and Roatan. Would the weather be horrible during these months? I went to Panama last summer and found it increadibly hot and humid, but I still had a great time (although there was a lot of rain in Bocas del Toro). Has anyone been to Honduras in the summer? Help.

I've spent my vacations in Honduras 3 out of the last 4 summers, about a month each and find it to be a great time to visit. In Copán you're in the mountains enough that heat shouldn't be much of a problem. Rains will fall mostly at night, though sometimes there's a spell where it rains in the afternoons; mornings are usually gorgeous.
La Ceiba is hot but there's easy access to the mountains for rafting, horses, and hiking. I'm not over fond of the city itself, but I'm not much of a city person.
On Roatán it can be hot but then you just hit the water. Usually there's a nice breeze in our experience, so pray for that. If it isn't breezy you're not only hotter but could have a sand fly problem.
The rainy season typically doesn't hit the north coast of Honduras until fall - we've never had much rain during our summer visits there. Technically there's a slight hurricane risk so check the reports just in case.
There's a link to my photo collections below and travelogue and/or blog links on the main page of each collection. We've loved every thing we've done and every place we've stayed and all my recommendations are there. Keep us posted!
