Getting from Airport to Marriot in PV

What's the cheapest method? Expedia offered me a $17 pp. round trip deal, but I said I'd wait and see what I could do. Should I have take it?

How many people? For 1 person that might not be too bad, for 2-4 you're better off getting your own taxi.

You can get a taxi very easily, buying a ticket at the "Taxi" booth at the airport. They are regulated leaving the airport (white cars) so your trip TO your hotel will cost about double what your trip BACK (yellow cars) to the airport will cost. The Marina (where the Casa Magna Marriott is located) is very close to the airport.

For comparison, the hotel website estimates cab fare at 16USD one-way (and I assume this is total not per person).

So if you are 2 people traveling together seems pretty much the same as Expedia offered.

There are 3 of us. Hmmm, none of those cheap white buses like they have all over Mayan Riviera huh?

I've never been to the Mayan Riviera side to know for sure what you refer to.

There are local public busses but they do not run from within the airport nor are they geared for tourist arrivals.

If you don't have much luggage you can exit the airport and attempt to catch a bus along the side of the highway. It's 4.5 peso and exact change or close to it is best.
