General travel questions
Hi, wondering if anyone knows how much liquor is allowed in from US. I was interested in bringing favorite wine but unsure if allowed.
Also, has anyone flown JFK to San Jose via Miami on American. I have a one hour layover and I am afraid it may not be enough. My travel agent has assured me that it is enough time since we will only have to disembark and find the next gate, but I have never used a connecting flight. Thanks for the info.

I can't help with the liquor issue. But, I do believe American uses gates at 2 different concourses in Miami. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, which wouldn't be the first time. You might want to ask your travel agent if both of your gates are on the same concourse. (American uses C and D I think) An hour should be enough time if all goes well. A delay in New York will change all of that.

Thanks SamH for your reply. I have been told that the concourses should be nearby and that I shouldn't need more than a half hour in case there is a delay in NY. Also, told that Miami was a major hub and waits for delayed flights within reason, perhaps 15 minutes- half hour.
