flights to BZE
We have reservations in Caye Caulker the first week of March and now I'm looking for flights for our family of 5- right now all tickets are in the range of $750 from our 3 or 4 closest airports (In Virginia). Does anyone know the chances of these prices going down between now and the next few months? Is there any likelihood of a "sale"
I want to purchase them in plenty of time before our trip, but I hate spending $3750 on tickets if I might get a better price if I wait.... I'm not familiar with tickets prices and patterns to this area. Thanks for any insight!

I see that tickets are a bit under $700.00 for that time frame from the midwest. In the past few years, I consider anything under $800.00 and ok price.
They dipped to under $650.00 last week. Those prices didn't last.
It's a gamble. I bought my tickets for January months ago. Now, it appears I could have gotten them cheaper.
I'd probably set a fare alert and watch the fares for a few weeks. If there's no downward trend, or worse, an upward trend, I'd probably buy.

I just booked flights for the end of March 2014 from Los Angeles. I paid $686.00 per person on TACA with a connection in El Salvador. I have flown on TACA before and they are a nice airline. It's such a gamble with airfares; sometimes if you wait until the last minute you can get great deals, other times it pays to book early. You just can't predict, so I just book if the price seems reasonable and don't look back

I just got our tickets for $661- didn't want to worry anymore about checking prices and missing a deal- plus I got to select seats so we are all together; the planes were 3/4 full already so I think it was time to move! and you're right- seize the moment and don't look back
thanks for input! looking forward to family vacation with my big kids...
