flamingo beach resort and spa in costa rica

Skip it unless u are traveling as a family. It is a super kid friendly hotel, so if you r looking for something to relax in, this is not the place. Except for the pool, the hotel is not that great. The bathroom is old and kinda of gross. The bath towels feel like rugs, very hard. Worst, they are grey and dirty looking. This hotel reminds me of an old beat up all inclusive hotel in cancun. And for those wondering about all inlusive, skip it as well. We booked hotel with breakfast, and even that, was not good at all.

Some friends stayed at papgayo area, which is much closer to LIR airport. I think also that area have more hotel options. While I did like the Flamingo beach area, I just didnt like the hotel at all. I am still puzzled by how and why it got such high ratings at tripadvisor. I think we were just unlucky. I posted here because I remember I searched on this site an didnt find any recent posts about the hotel. Just want to share here.
