Fishing help in Quepos / Manual Antonio

I will be in the Manual Antonio area next week (first time) starting the 5th. Does anyone have a good recommendation on a fishing boat for me and my son (12). Affordable is nice. Probably 1/2 day. may consider splitting it if someone is looking to fish too and there the same time.

Quepos would be a better idea and a lot cheaper as well. It would be worth the trip. Check for life jackets.

Any thoughts on recommended boats? I usually head down to the docks one afternoon to see what is being caught and book something that looks nice...

c, if you don't get a good recommendation here, you may just check with your hotel. I've seen other folks post this same question with little response.

It is a good idea to go down to the docks and talk to a few of the locals and also some of the fishermen coming in.
They can have unexplainable poor fishing for days on end and that doesn't make for a nice trip.
Check in some of the bars as well and ask the American or Canadian fishermen.
Tight lines.
Roger.

I'm told that this recent tropical storm did great damage to the Quepos fishing fleet. You might want to check quickly since boats may be scarce.Perhaps someone has better info.
