Fiesta Resort
Does anyone have any info on this all inclusive? My husband and I will be there for a week in early December. We hope to do a canopy bridge walk nearby. Any ideas on tour companys in area. Horse back rides and/or jungle hikes.
Thank you for your invaluable advice.

I don't think there are any 'walking bridge' canopy tours in the area. There is a zip line type canopy tour about 30-45 minutes away in the Mahogany Park, San Mateo, but to have a 'suspended bridge' canopy tour, I think you'd have to go all the way to Manuel Antonio, which would be about 2-1/2 to 3 hours, each way. I have also never seen any "Tour" companies in Puntarenas. I think all tours will have to be arranged by the Resort, or you can arrange them yourself by searching the web to see what's available, but besides the zip line tour, nothing is going to be 'close' to the Fiesta Resort. The town is not pretty, and the beach is not going to be the greatest either. If you could choose another resort, even the Marriott Los Suenos, would be better as it's closer to more activities and is a prettier location. That's just my opinion after several trips to Costa Rica. But I can't help with specifics on these resorts, as I've never stayed at any all-inclusive in the country. Hope it works out for you!

Yes, as you figured out it is the Fiesta near Puntarenas, CR. Thought I was on an exclusive CR site. Is anyone familiar with the ferries to Nicoya Peninsula. Is it easy to cross over and visit the parks on our own. Which ferry would be best. Any information is greatly apprieciated. Thanks

I am sure you can get the ferry info from the hotel. They can give you the most current schedules. There are usually lines although with the new Tempisque bridge open they may have gotten smaller. The hotel will have lots of day trip options for you to choose from or you can just get an idea of what is doable from the hotel from them and then go off on your own with a taxi or by public transportation. Most hotels, and I am sure the Fiesta is included, have tour/travel agents on site that can help you with your site seeing. The location surrounding the hotel is not a pretty place but have heard that once you are on the grounds you don't notice it. There have also been pollution issues at times in the beach water near there so I would check with the hotel and ask if it has been tested lately.
