No, for 4 of you, $3700 isn't bad at all. Still, the first quote would be way over the top, even for 4. It doesn't include air, does it? Either quote?
Naturally, with 4 people, a big question affecting expense would be one room or two? If you are like us, we'd just all sleep in the same room to save $1000 bucks or more, but many people feel strongly about the privacy issue, both for themselves and for their older kids.

Hijack away tully. I'm not sure my keyword idea will work, but it's great to see all the old CR posters who helped me so much planning our trip are still around to give state-of-the-art advice. Michelle Y - I like your reassurance - it is just money. Unfortunately, it takes some of that to take these wonderful trips.
Our latest trip was closer to home -- Moab, Utah and Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. They were incredible too, and I'm working on a trip report for those.

Hi. I contacted Pat Hewitt and he is working on it for me.. I think we could share a room for the first part of the trip, but then maybe a villa or two rooms for the second part...when we are getting on each others' nerves! But that is flexible. The most important thing is "life experiences" (my kids are so tired of hearing that!), so if I have to choose between sharing a room and the canopy tour, we will share a room!

Hi everyone,
I'm late to the party (i.e. post), as usual!
I haven't been here in almost a week due to craziness at work. I really loathe it when that happens!
MRand,
It's great to see you pop up again here on the Latin America forum! Your trip report was one of my all-time favorites.
So you (and MichelleY) have both recently been to the land of my birth (I live in Florida now, but grew up in Utah...). I had to move away from home for a few years to really appreciate all the wonderful natural beauty that Utah has to offer. Now when I go back to visit family and friends, I'm really in awe of the amazing landscapes. I visited Arches and Capitol Reef nat'l parks back in April. Hadn't been down that way in many years. Loved it!
I wish I had recent CR news to share, but I haven't been since last December. I'm hoping to get back down there for the GTG with shillmac, tully and Hip. I've been in CR withdrawls all year!
So I think I've missed wishing tully a wonderful trip. I think she left today if I remember correctly. I am really excited to read about her take on Argentina!

So far she says Buenos Aires may be a little too busy for her taste. She arrived safely and has spent the day walking. She is looking forward to getting out and about in nature and over to Iguazu. She located CNN on tv so is pleased about that!
