El Tamarindo/Careyes: are both Starwood?

I'm confused--on the grupoplan web site it says El Tamarindo is part of The Luxury Collection, but they aren't listed on the Luxury Collection web site. Any thoughts?

I read somewhere that the Tamarindo will soon close, and become a private resort. It was a member of the luxury collection, but doesn't seem to be anymore.
Not sure about El Careyes.

El Tamarindo is no longer part of Starwood nor is it owned by GrupoPlan anymore (they must not have updated their website).
It is now part of Yellowstone Club World.
El Careyes is still part of the Starwood Luxury Collection.

El Tamarindo is part of the Hoteles Boutique de Mexico.
El Careyes remains with Starwood's "The Luxury Collection".
We'll be at El Careyes next weekend for the Christmas holiday.

Yes, I'd love to hear all about your trip to Careyes. My husband and I are thinking about the Pacific coast of Mexico for next Fall and are Starwood members, so we are curious about that property in particular. Have a wonderful holiday!

I would wait until after the first week in Nov as more than a few are closed.
Never understood why some/many gringos come to the hot, humid coastal areas in "summer".
