Can anyone tell me how people dress in Belize, especially for dinner? I am wondering if people go in jeans shorts and t-shirts or maybe decent chino shorts and a nicer shirt or pants for guys and skirts for gals? <BR>Any guidance would help...

Depends where in Belize and to what place. In some jungle lodges long khaki pants, on the beach whatever but something what makes you and others comfortable. I would say no bathing suits. Travel light. Remember Belize is not Paris

On Ambergris Caye, we wore bug repellent, clean shorts and shirts, or for me, sometimes a sundress. No shoes required anywhere in San Pedro, so we didn't bother. When we went to dinner at Capricorn (by water taxi), we wore shoes.

I understand it is very wide open. <BR>No real dress code unless you want to dress up. Be cool and enjoy.
