TripleSec,
We just returned and I am exhausted! All that daylight keeps one going until the wee hours, then zaps upon returning to the land of nighttime! I stood outside a couple of nights ago about 1:00 in the morning listening to the birds sing, for pete's sake!
We had a great trip. Everything was beautiful as usual. The air smelled wonderful. I am convinced there are few parts of AK as gorgeous as the Kenai Peninsula. Last night we dined in Seward looking toward Resurrection Bay and huge snow covered mountains--what a sight. AND, the weather was wonderful. Just cool enough for long sleeved t-shirts, but not uncomfortable.
We brought home 300 lb. of halibut, but that's another story--remember I was team leader for a group of 23. But yes, we all caught our limit of 2--enjoyed the fishing charter out of Homer looking at sea otters and puffins on the water. Also did a very relaxing float trip down the Kenai River one evening--with bald eagles flying overhead. It's a little piece of heaven for sure.
Now it's off the Costa Rica--I daresay it will be a little warmer!
