Direction of itinerary, beach advice

We are going to CR in May - husband, myself and our 5-yr-old daughter. We all went 2 years ago for the first time so we want to visit new areas this time (except for a return to Peace Lodge!). We will drive ourselves for flexibility. We are adventurous but need to keep things fairly kid-friendly. Our daughter is a good traveler and loves animals/wildlife, but also likes the beach and pool. Below is our current idea for an itinerary, which is based on flying into San Jose and leaving from Liberia although flights have not been booked yet. I would appreciate any comments on the order of destinations. In particular, we want to make the loop around Braulio Carrillo for the PL/Sarapiqui portion - any reason to go one way or the other first? Also, any input on the kid-friendliness of lodging choices and whether renting a car one way is a realistic option would be great. Thanks.

2-3 nights at Peace Lodge (waterfalls, etc., Poas, Doka)
3 nights in Sarapiqui area - Selva Verde, La Quinta? (hikes and boat trip)
2 nights at Villablanca (hikes, quetzal tour)
3-4 nights in Guanacaste beach area - Ocotal, Hermosa? (mostly for relaxing, beach, maybe sailing, and one day to Rincon de la Vieja)

I see that you have not had any response to your 2 questions. Perhaps a more informative title such as "Need info for CR trip" would be helpful. Better titles get better answers.

Go on a day trip to Rincon de la Vieja with Papagayo Vargas Tours in Hermosa.
Youll see plenty of wildlife!
Stay at the El Velero right on the beach.

Thanks for the tips both re: Hermosa and posting. I have been lurking here quite a while but am obviously a neophyte at posting. I will try again with a better title.
