current weather in Puerto Vallarta?

My husband and I are going on our honeymoon next week to a resort outside of Puerto Vallarta. I know this is rainy season, but can anyone tell me what the weather down there has been like this season? Should we be prepared for hours of rain, or short rainfalls in the evenings? Thanks!

There is no reliable forecast for PV, it has it's own micro-climate.
Doubt you will see a mosquito in town, if you into the jungle use a deterrent, plenty available here.

My husband and I went to PV last year over Labor Day. It rained only for a couple of hours in the late afternoon--it was the perfect opportunity to head up to the balcony to watch the clouds roll in, have a rest from the sun, relax, and get ready for dinner.

I didn't notice any bugs when we were there. In fact, we slept with the door open and no a/c. However, if you are thinking of doing the jungle tour or something, I would recommend some bug spray just in case.

I thought the weather was pleasant, but I live in Houston. The only time I really got warm was when we went into the town to explore from 9-1 ish. That was too warm. Other than that, it was great.

Thanks for the answers! I've been a little concerned with hurricane Ileana in the Pacific, but it seems to be moving quickly to the west. Travel websites are too hard to judge... even today it forcasted "mostly cloudy" on one site for Minneapolis and not a cloud could be seen when you looked outside.

When we were going to PV I checked all the weather resources and they said rain everyday. We were never rained on, a few clouds sometimes.
