CR weather this week

I've been checking weather.com in advance of my trip to CR on Wednesday but because I have yet to secure my hotel, I'm wondering if any area of the island will be drier than another. The forecast on weather.com is not too promising but that doesn't account for the specific areas of the island, just San Jose I'm guessing.

Any way to avoid being drenched the entire time? Original plan was to do Osa or Arenal. I've heard that Osa has unfortunately had "non stop rain" for the last few weeks. I shouldn't be surprised... it is the rainy season, and all.

Thanks.

Can anyone tell me please what kind of weather to expect in late December; speciifically, IS IT WARM..HOT even better?? Rainy, whatever. And while I have your attention, tell me about nice beach resorts to stay that might be relatively close to restaurants, shopping, etc. Thanks!

In a 'normal' year the northern Pacific beaches experience hot dry weather in late December.

Do a search here and you will see many posts regarding various beach towns and resorts.
