Costa Verde 2
We are going to be in Manuel Antonio February 2 - February 5. We are looking at Hotel Costa Verde. They have one room left in Costa Verde II. The room does not have air conditioning. Can anyone tell me if this is a big deal or if the ocean breeze combined with ceiling fans will keep the room reasonably comfortable? Also, can anyone comment on Hotel Karahe? Thanks.

I do not think it is a huge deal to be without airco . The views are amazing from Costa Verde 2 , as well as from the pool area , and the restaurant ! Beautiful . No real views to speak of from Karahe , it is at the bottom of the hill , cute enough place . But it would be C.V. 2 hands down for me . faith

I'd definitely take Costa Verde II. I stayed in bldg B in June (that does have a/c) but most nights I turned it off cause it ran too cold & I liked hearing the night sounds. I walked down to CV II a couple times and ran into a couple troops, plus the view is amazing. I had lunch at Karahe, and tho' I didn't look into any of the rooms, I was really glad I was staying at CV.

Just wondering how long the walk is from Costa Verde to the beach? Is it even possible to walk to the beach from this hotel? Anyone have any experience with Mango Moon or Hotel Verde Mar, both of which I think are on the beach??? Thanks.

You CAN walk to the beach from Costa Verde , you use a little road on the property which ends almost opposite Karahe , then u can cut through Karahe to the beach . Mango Moon is not on the beach , but not a far walk from Beisanz Beach . ( not on a busy road either )
