Costa Rica in June

Hello! My family is thinking about going to Costa Rica in June, before the 4th of July. I know it is rainy season. We have 3 children- ages 18, 16, & 12. My question is how rainy is it? Does it come & go? Or is it constant? Thanks!

We've travelled during the green season and like it. I wouldn't have any problems traveling during that time of year. It really can rain any time of year, but people tend to avoid months like October where it can be more consistent. The Arenal area combined with Manuel Antonio is nice for a family trip. You would fly in and out of SJO for those.

No problem; I'm happy to help. Ask away with any questions. We've stayed at several different spots in the Arenal area. I really like the Arenal Observatory Lodge for all the hiking, trails, and wildlife on site, plus they have a free guided hike each morning. Great if you're okay with being away from town and out by the lake. It's set off a long bumpy road. There are places with natural hot springs where you can stay too like Tabacon or Silencio del Campo. And they are some really upscale expensive spots like the Springs Resort and Spa. We've also stayed at the Lost Iguana and Nayara. In Manuel Antonio, we really like Tulemar because they have their own beach.
