Costa Rica - assorted questions
As our trip nears, I keep coming up with more questions. Of course, now that I'm at the computer, I can only think of one. More may follow.
If we are from the US, will we need an adapter/ converter to use electrical items in Costa Rica. We have a set that we take to Europe, but no sense taking them if we don't need them.
I already thought of the second question.
Is dress informal? I am guessing shorts and t-shirts might be appropriate - unlike big city or European vacations.

Thanks cdrcos. I can cross adapter off my packing list.
We'll take better clothes too! I was just checking if shorts/t-shirts might be OK for driving around/ hiking/ziplining - that sort of thing.
Thanks for your quick help.

Weird, hip!
Dress is very casual, but I bring capris and a pair of long pants in addition to shorts. The weather can be cool at night in some areas. I packed a pair of heels on first trip and haven't made that mistake since! Casual skirts or a sun dress would be fine too if you wanted them, but it's a pretty much anything goes environment. I strive to be clean - lol.

If you are going to the Guanacaste area it will be hotter, but less humidity than most other areas. We're usually biking, trekking, kayaking, swimming, rafting or some other type of adventure on any given day, so dresses just don't work for us, but quick dry shorts are great!
Oh, and since there's no mention of shoes here, I'll give my pitch for Keen's (Whisper, my fave, or Venice or H2O). Salomon Tech's are good too if you want more of a shoe than a sandal.
