Connecting flights in BA - EZE to Aeroparque - help needed

Looked but didn't see this anywhere, so apologize if this hasa been asked and answered.

Looking at going from Dallas to Bariloche. Connecting flights in Buenos Aires show arriving EZE but departing Aeroparque. How do you get between the two airports? The ticket would be booked through, but I cannot find info anywhere on how to make the transition in airport.

Thx

Hi, geeper!

EZE is our international airport and Aeroparque is for local or very short flights.

For transportation between the two airports, I suggest using http://www.tiendaleon.com.ar/home/home.asp

They have a bus which costs 45 pesos per person, or a private car which costs 141 pesos. You can reserve online and pay with your credit card.

You say "The ticket would be booked through". Do you mean you wouldn't have to pick up your luggage in EZE? I find that rather strange. What about international customs at EZE? What airline are you flying?

Have a great time in our country.

I would suggest a minimum of 4 hours connection time. Some might consider a night in BA before making the final push to Bariloche. Suerte!

By booked through, I means that my ticket would be Dallas to Bariloche with a connection in Buenos Aires that requires an airport change, so I would assume (??) customs would be in Bariloche?

don't see how customs can be in Bariloche, since you have to leave one airport and travel across the city to the other. how much time is there between flights?

good point. The flights I am looking at are:

* Sun, Mar 22
* Dallas/Ft Worth, TX (DFW) to
Buenos Aires, BA (EZE)
Flight Time: 10hrs 20min * 7:35pm to 7:55am
* American Airlines * American Airlines Flight 997

* 1 Stop - Change planes in Buenos Aires, BA - transfer from Buenos Aires Ministro Pistarini (EZE) to Buenos Aires Aeroparque J. Newbery (AEP)

Scheduled Layover time: 4hrs 5min

* Mon, Mar 23
* Buenos Aires, BA (AEP) to
San Carlos De Bar, RN (BRC)
Flight Time: 2hrs 20min * 12:00pm to 2:20pm
Next day arrival
* LAN Airlines * LAN Airlines Flight 4346
operated by LANARGENTINA
Airbus A320-100/200 View Seats

LAN and AA are partners in oneWorld, so can ticket together, but not sure how the airport transfer works in BA. I also assume baggage will be checked through, but have not confirmed

Check my trip report. It is being updated frequently in progress. I had somewhat the same situation last week, but did not book 'through' to Iguazu Falls wiht American.
Had about a 6 hour layover, arriving EZE American, departing AEP on LAN air. Made it to AEP in plenty of time, in fact was able to get an earlier flight.
When you come out of customs, look for the stand of Manuel Leon Tienda. We hired a car that got us to AEP in about 30 minutes.
I would almost bet you will have to claim your luggage and go through customs at EZE. AEP is the domestic airport, as I understand it. Customs was a breeze for us, but there wasn't much of a crowd. Good luck.

As BillJ says, "I would almost bet you will have to claim your luggage and go through customs at EZE."

I suggest you check with whoever is selling you the ticket, in order to confirm this.

Have a great time in our country.

Thanks for the help. This is for work, however, so not much time for fun or sightseeing
