College guys on 10 day vacation
Hey were two college seniors looking to have fun in costa rica from june 19- 29. Were staying in san jose 1-3 nights and jaco beach the rest. Is there anywhere else we should go look into? How is the party life in Jaco beach?
This is gonna be a blast right? Are canopy tours awesome, which is the best? Thanks!

I stayed in Jaco Beach for 10 nights. There is one or two clubs and that's it! We only stayed in Jaco during the day once! That was enough. Get up early and head "Left" It is either right or left once you get to the main highway/road. If you go left you will find some surfing camps, beautiful beaches, hut bars, Manuel Ant., and Quepos ect..We did a white water trip in Quepos, worth every penny and when you are done, there is an American outside bar just waiting for you! Have fun, where are you staying in Jaco?

Paul and Ryan are definitely gonna have a blast.
Jaco is cool, and there's definitely more than 1 or 2 clubs there. There's a very young crowd and attitude in Jaco, and college seniors will find no shortage of people to hang out and party with. (Which is a big reason why so many older visitors avoid Jaco).
It's a great surfing beach, plus easy to get to and easy to use as a base for exploring parks, jungles, beaches, etc. along that area of the coast. There's dirt cheap places to sleep and dirt cheap places to drink. Rent a car for a couple days and head down to Manuel Antonio, absolutely, but you could EASILY fill a whole 10 days just in the Jaco area since there's ATV treks into the hills, horseback trips, parasailing, canopy tours, there's an aerial tram and there's that park over near the Alligator bridge....Carrerra I think it's called. Just walk the main drag and stop at one of the tour operators --- even if you don't do one of their daytrips, you'll get a picture of the possibilities.
Have fun!

TioGringo--Paul and Ryan went over a year ago! Let's hope they survived. I suppose college guys aren't the ones who usually post a report, although no doubt it would be one of the most interesting reports every posted on this board--LOL! Hopefully, they stayed away from the Del Ray!

I've heard some interesting stories regarding the Del Ray. . . .
