Hi Bob, I presume you mean Colonia?
We stayed at El Viajero B&B (not to be confused with the hostel also run by the same people just around the corner. It is close to the river a 5 min walk from the old quarter and a 500m walk from the ferry terminal. It is a new place and as such is in pristine condition. A nice, quite spacious room with the requisite comfortable bed. good shower, TV etc..
We booked with Hostelworld
http://www.hostelworld.com/hosteldet...p/ElViajeroBB-
ColoniadelSacramento-30615/reviews/
and paid around $50. We were the only ones staying at teh time and had room 2 which seemed on the 3rd floor. Try and engineer your stay for a weekday as the town apparently gets busy at the weekends as the hordes descend from accross the river! Will post details and photos on the blog in the next week or so.

I booked El Viajero on either www.hostelworld.com or www.hostelbookers.com both are excellent sites.
