Cancun Hotels with the BEST Beaches (Post Hurricane)!

Hi All - I am looking to book a 5 night getaway to Cancun for my husband & I in January at an All Inclusive resort...I am having a tough time figuring out which hotels still have nice beaches left after the hurricanes. Any suggestions? We are BIG beach people and it is important that we have a nice stretch of beach for our stay...(not rocky, long stretch of white sand, hopefully ocean not too rough). Has anyone been there recently to assess which areas still have great beaches?

As far as resorts go, we want a nice place, doesn't need to be 5-star, but nice amenities, nice pool, and swim up bar is a must (for my husband Thanks everyone...Happy New Year!!

Not in Cancun, but furthere south on the Riviera Maya, The Barcelo resort has a great stretch of beach.
Even further south..only a three star--clean, but modest with a fantastic beach with snorkeling right there...the Akumal Beach Resort.

thanks for that website, gabriel. It looks like the Cancun beach restoration did not last. So sad, just a few years ago, Cancun had some of the most beautiful beach in the world.

Thanks Gabriele!! That web site is VERY helpful...The Dreams section of the beach looks a bit smaller than some of the other areas in Cancun (like near the Sun Palace, etc.) Can anyone comment on this?? All in all however, from the pictueres, the erosion from the hurrican doesn't look quite as bad as I thought...
