Calm beaches in Zihuatanejo

Considering staying in Zihuat. I miss the calm beaches from Thailand. I heard that Zihuat had calmer beaches because of it's bay like location. Any thoughts? Suggestions of places to stay? thanks!

Brisas del Mar is a great hotel with possibly the best view in all of West Coast Mexico. Located on Playa Madera a short (400 Yards) beach with a gentle slope. Also Lots of places on Playa La Ropa on the bay but much busier.

Well the sand is whiter but the down side is hordes of tourists, Parasailers who may land on top of you, Ski-does that race around ignoring the safety rules may run you down & higher prices. In addition Playa Madera is raked every day so a lot less trash. As far as Scenic I much prefer the view from Madera.
