cabana over the ocean in belize

I am trying to find accomidations in Belize that offer at cabana that is over the ocean--you know, the kind that is on pillars at the end of a pier. Lots of cabanas on land, none so far over the ocean--please help.

I've spent alot of time researching places to stay in Belize, and have never come across any out over the ocean. Doesn't mean there aren't any, but I'm not sure where they would be.

There are some great looking places in Panama.... Jean

None that I can think of, and I've visited a couple of hundred hotels and resorts in Belize.

The only cabanas that I know of are on Middle Caye in Glover's Reef. They are not for rent. If you go with Slickrock.com, they go there.

Hope this is not too late for your trip, but I was looking at the website for Roberts Grove in Placenia and they have a private cay that has bungalows over the water. I think it is a recent addition as it looks as though they also have another caye that you can stay on as well but with a more rustic cabin situation. Both look really neat. let me know if you go as I am planning a family trip and I think my children would think it was the "coolest" if we stayed a night or 2 there during our trip.

Yes, Robert's Grove has added "Bora Bora" style cabanas at one of their islands.
