Bosque Del Cabo - only $280 per night for 2 people?!!

I've been researching BDC a little more. I thought the prices were around $400 per night. I just saw their price list, and we might be able to afford $280-$300 per night, as long as I know about any other hidden expenses up front. We've paid more than that at Disney World Resorts.

Can any of you comment on this? I can't tell you how EXCITED I am at even being able to consider BDC.

You get a discount if you travel during green season; that's why we always travel then. The only other expense I can think of is that CR hotels tack on a hefty tax - 16% I think. BdC is wonderful; if you can afford it, you should definitely go and enjoy it.

I agree that when you add in taxes and meals to other hotel prices, BDC isn't so far out of range for some people. As you can see, the price goes down a bit depending on how many people you'll have in the cabina. No hidden fees. They do have some guided walks that cost extra, but you can hike all the trails on your own too. It's also typical to provide some tips to the regular staff there, they're all so great!

If you have any sodas, drinks etc those will be tacked on to the price. The nice thing about Bosque is that you can have some great experiences and not spend a dime once you are there other than drinks and tips. The trails are all a little different and you just never know what you will come up on. There is a fee for transport between town and the lodge. $25pp rt. There is also a small fee if you want beach pick up if you hike down to the Gulfo Dulce side. They will pack a lunch for you so you can spend the day and then pick you up at a specific time that you set up. Do have a day pack if you think you will do this. We have had to loan ours on more than one trip there. We were happy to do it.

BdC gets expensive when you add people. To bring my 2 kids, I would have to pay $160 extra *per night*. I understand there should be additional cost since meals are included, but $80/kid is a little carried away.

I agree with the earlier post that BdC otherwise is comparable to other places. I've switched my plans to go to MA instead, and I'll be paying close to what I would have at BdC once I throw in meals.
