Body surfing, not surfing

Hi. I am in the final stages of planning our trip to CR in June. I have to decide on how much time to spend at the beach vs. not at the beach. All of us, including my 18 and 20 yr. old sons love to body surf. None of us surf so I would love to know the very best beaches specifically for body surfing/boogie boarding. Great waves that are a real thrill but safe enough to body surf. We are flying into Liberia and planning on going to Nacoya Penninsula - Montezuma, Malpais/ST. Now I am thinking if we should consider stopping in Playa Grande and maybe staying at Rip Jack Inn. It seems that every region says their beaches are probably the best in CR so I am not sure what beaches are the ones not to miss for swimnming, body surfing.
Thanks so much.
