I loved your report, I have been collecting info on Belize for a while. Sounds like quite a memory maker for the kids.
We recently read "The Last Flight of The Scarlet Macaw "about Sharon Matola's (head of the Belize zoo) fight to save the macaw in Belize. Maybe your kids would enjoy it since they were just there.
Thanks so much, it was a great report!

neddag, I hope you have a great trip! Contact info for L'il Alphonse is at this link:
http://ambergriscaye.com/alfonso/. We reached him via cell phone at 610-0105. Ask how big the group is when you reserve because he sometimes takes out large groups. He charges $25 US per person plus you have to pay the marine park (if you go to Hol Chan) fee of $10. Banana Beach was charging $40 US plus the park fee. This is for a half day tour.
parrmt, Thanks for the book recommendation. Sounds like a good way to continue the Belize vacation vibe since we are already missing our time there.
