Beach nearest Monteverde

This may be absurd, but if we wanted to drive for a DAY trip ONLY to the beach from Monteverde....is that doable and if so which beach? I don't know if we would....but I worried we might want to go by the ocean for a few hours and that is not part of our itinerary this time.
But if it is a lot of hours bumping around in our car just to arrive at a crowded beach...I guess we just need to do that another time.

Not doable. Save it for another time.

Once you drive up to Monteverde, you'll have a better feel for why you would never want to drive back down and back up again in the same day.

Enjoy Monteverde and the cloud forest - plenty to do. Skip the beach and plan it for another trip. It would be a total waste of time as a day trip.

emma, you'd really regret trying this. Super long and bumpy roads.

You guys are right....I do remember the roads there being hellacious. I don't know why I am kind of panicking that maybe there is not enough to do since we aren't zip liners or horse back riders!! I am sure we will have a great time. I am looking forward to just seeing some nature and wildlife and peace and quiet.
