Arenal Springs Resort?

Anyone know about or have stayed at the Arenal Springs Resort? Is there a Hotel Arenal Springs and an Arenal Springs Resort, or are they one in the same? Thanks for any help.

We stayed at Arenal Springs Resort Mar. 7 & 8 this year. All the "rooms" are newer duplex cabins with sitting patios. Very nice. We also had the opportunity to see the volcano 1day and night before it was obscured by clouds!

There are several good reviews at tripadvisor, seems like a nice place.

Got home late last night, will do a trip report. But to answer your question, we really liked it there (plenty of room, clean, fridge in room, vegetation that hides all the other rooms to give you some privacy and even decent food) and thought it a very good value and a central location. However, I understood the lava view had changed less than a week ago, so if that is important to you, you may want to look farther away from town.

do you mean you cannot see the lava from ASR?

judging by pictures, the mountain itself can be seen from around the hotel's pool; Are the windows in the rooms facing Mt. Arenal?
(i'd like to watch along the night)

Ok i've found an answer to my own question:

A map of Arenal's Lava flows angle of observation

http://www.arenal.net/arenal-costa-rica-map.htm

it seems only 6 lodges/hotels are within the viewing angle
most are cheaper than ASR

P.S. the map is dated to April 2007
Anyonbe has a more up-to-date info?
