Arenal Hanging Bridges, Sky Walk or TreeTop Walkways

We are interested in a scenic walk and not a zipline. What are the differences between the Arenal Hanging Bridges, Sky Walk at Santa Elena, and Treetop Walkways at Santa Elena? Which is better for seeing wildlife? What time of the day is best to go? How much time should we allow? Thanks.

WE just returned and did the Hanging Bridges at Arenal. This is an area that has a developed walking trail through the rain forest. You will cross about seven hanging bridges during your hike. The bridges are suspended very high up...they have sides on them which on a person of 5'4" would go up to your shoulders. The bridges are narrow and you walk single file. The hike take about two hours. Gorgeous scenery. I was not fearful walking across the briges. I think when you pay the entrance fee, you can also pay for a guide. We saw howler monkies only after we saw a guide point it out to others.

Kicking this to the top, I'm interested in Sky Walk vs. Treetop.

If you are interested inwildlife , you will not see much doing the Skywalk or the Hanging Bridges.

It is a nice walk over the treetops with the rainforest below and should you spot any birds like the eleusive Quetzul ...thenyou are lucky

However , a nature walk with a guide on the ground has the chance of producing better results.

I think St.Elena has a series of eight(8) suspensions bridges, it is a pleasant walk,BUT do not count on seeing hoards of wildlife.!

Are there any differences between Santa Elena, Selvatura Tree Top Walkways, and Sky Walk?

There is not much difference between them. The Skywalk is higher.
