Any suggestions for Tulum lodging?

Helping our best friends with their February trip to Tulum. They waited a bit to long and our favorite spot is booked (Cabanas la Conchita). Any suggestions for a second choice? They are looking for a small place, beautiful, on the beach and not all inclusive.

Thank You!

I just cancelled a Feb. reservation at Cabanas la Conchita - you might check again for availability.

I know I'm going to sound like a big ole' baby, but do any of the places in Tulum have A/C?

Thanks!

Diana - only Los Lirios has a/c, but I didn't care for their poor attitude and food. Ana y Jose has fans that I thought were sufficient, even in the August heat.

One that wasn't mentioned was Las Ranitas. (And it has a/c!) Small boutique hotel (few rooms) so beach feels like it's almost all to yourself. Restaurant/bar on site in main house. Can see its location on locogringo.com.

My friends actually booked Las Rancitas. Their sister had stayed there and really liked it.
