What airline makes the flight from Cancun to Cozumel? Also, what is the approximate cost?

Why would you fly from CC to Coz? By the time you went to the airport, went through security, waited for your flight, etc., you could be in Coz....at the airport which means getting out of there, a taxi to town, etc.

Hire a Cab in CC (about $50) to Playa and just take the boat across. They run every hour all day and at evening. There you are. It is fast, simple, and cheaper. Cheaper yet, you canb also take a bus down the beach to Playa from CC City. The bus depot in Playa is about a two minute walk to the boat.

I have flown from Cancun to Cozumel many times.

There are a lot of flights that make the 20 minute trips back and forth all day.

We have paid anywhere from $6o round trip to $120 round trip. Shop it around.

We've flown on Mexicana and Aeromexico.

Norbrad393- Why? I want to return my rental car (at the Cancun Airport) and don't want to take the ferry.

I normally use the big three (expedia, travelocity and orbitz), but I have also used the airline's websites, flown standby and used Intratours.

FYI - the flights between Cancun and Cozumel have been cancelled until further notice due to much needed airplane maintenance. So unless you are flying directly into Cozumel from you city of origin, then you will need to take the ferry from Playa. No need to pay $50 for a taxi, take the bus from the airport - it's only $8 and very efficient. When you exit customs ask for directions to the Riviera bus to Playa. The buses are parked at the far end of the main terminal building and you can purchase a ticket right there at the bus or from the kiosk inside. Buses leave about every hour and are very nice and modern with A/C and they even have decent movies playing....sometimes!
