Amazon Cruise

We are planning a trip on the M/V Rio Amazonas leaving from Iquitos,Peru. Has anyone tken this trip?

When we were in the Amazon in 1997, we met people who just got off the boat on a 7 day trip. They were not overly enthusiastic about it.

Thanks for posting. Do you recall anything specific about their comments? The boat was refurbished again in 2001. I wondered if it was the boat itself or the area the trip covers they were unenthusiastic about.

yes I`m in agreement with all the last commentaries..but for relaxing is ok...don`t expect to see wildlife!!
I was in the amazon 7 days I got an non turistic package ...I took this one because I wanted to see wildlife..so good luck ...if you want I can provide you tips about this type of trip...

Just arrived of my trip in the amazon...i`ve in the really hearth of the mighty amazon..swimming with the two species of dolphins (gray and pink)..monkeys,sloths,piranhas fishing,highly recommended for birdwatchers,mammals.and more.also you can afford for the type of trip that you want it..enjoy it!!!
