All-inclusive hotels in Cancun
Hi All,
We're spending our honeymoon in Cancun. Can anyone suggest a good all-inclusive hotel? Four or five stars is what we're thinking. We don't have any kids, so we don't need family activities, but we love fun pools, a nice atmosphere, clean, white beaches and good restaurants.
Also, we're going in December. Is the weather still warm enough to swim then?

Plenty warm enough to swim even in December. Ocean temps are still about 80. I thinh AI is fine but there are so many better dining options in Cancun that you may want to consider going out to dinner at least a few times. Check the restaurant reviews here and at Tripadvisor. I recommend LaHabichuela, LaMadonna, Laguna Grill and Cenacolo. I do not recommend Lorenzillos or the Plantation House as they seem hurried and overpriced for my taste. There are few "objective" opinions preferred by hotel and taxi drivers as they all get fees for referrals.
A couple AIs to consider would be Dreams and Golden Crown Paradise, the later being adults only. The beach at GCP is very nice and the location is close to Kukulcan Mall. GET A MAP/GUIDE FROM mapchick.com. It is a must $8 expenditure. Have fun.

Thank you! I was reading other reviews that said similar things about the food. Plus, I suppose we have to leave the hotel SOMEtime.
I was very surprised to find that Dreams' "free drinks" were limited to 2 a night at one bar, and there weren't many premium selections available.
We've considered just staying at a really nice hotel for the duration and paying for food ourselves, but we only have a $2000 or so budget, and paying for food separately would put us way over that budget.
That said, I'm glad Dreams was one on your list. That was one of the few AIs we were considering. I've never seen GCP, so I'll have to check it out.
