AdventureSmith Explorations Panama tour or others?

Our extended family of ten people want a varied trip to the Panama area and are currently looking at the AdventureSmit Explorations. One is an 8 day 'Panama Discover the other is a 10 day 'best of Panama'. Does anyone have any information on this company or others that you like? We range in age from an active 80 year old to 25 years old so want something for everyone.

Is it any wonder that Tauck has been named the '#1 Tour Operator and Safari Outfitter' three times by ... Single Savings on all 2010 Panama Canal & Costa Rica Cruises! Mention Promo ...

Not familiar with Adventure Smith, my recommendations for Panama are:

http://www.anconexpeditions.com
http://www.senderopanama.com
http://www.ecocircuitos.com
http://www.expeditions.com

Both Ancon Expeditions and Sendero Panama have the best naturalist guides in Panama with experience with Tauck.

Ecocircuitos is another operator that does tours in Panama.but

Lindblad is another option.

Hi there, Now that I look into the Panama page for Adventure Smith Explorations, I see what ship they use and I am familiar with the itinerary.
The areas they visit are unique, the ship is a nice one and the naturalist on board Octavio or Ian are some of the best naturalist in Panama.
Add Adventure Smith Explorations to my list of recommendations above!

Im also familiar with these programs,
Adventure smith explorations work with very good local tour operators, one of those is mentioned here before, ancon expeditions.

The discovery cruise is excelent if your really into nature and culture, since you are on board you will visit places that are dificult to access and non touriusty, the embera villages, san telmo island, of the pacific, up the chagres river, etc...

the best of panama has more of inland traveling with a good tase and feel of the whole country, from culture, nature, sight seeing, highlands, canal, good hikes, city tours etc....

Its more of what your family is into, check their sites and see the description , this might help you

thank you
