The TLC ( Cafta) vote passed for Costa Rica.

Hopefully the majority will be happy once the Free Trade increases job.

What is CAFTA ,a new brand of coffee in Costa Rica!!?

Isn't this suppose to increase free trade and creat more jobs ?!

But ...

In order for CAFTA to take effect, the Costa Rican congress needs to pass a slate of laws that would fulfill the terms of the trade agreement, most prominently, opening up telecommunications and insurance. The opposition party has announced that it will do everything it can to block those laws from being passed. It all has to take place by Feb. 29, 2008. I'd like to think this matter has been settled, but I'm not sure it has yet.

I haven't counted the chickens yet. I just hope CR doesn't have the same problem Mexico did with us going down and creating lots of jobs and then leaving for cheaper pastures.
