8 days in cusco too long?
I have 1 night in Lima, 2 in puno, 1 lake T. 8 nights Cusco, 4 nights on the MP Inca trail hike and 3 nights at the Ecoamazon lodge. We are two 20 year old girls. is there enough to do in the Cusco area for 8 nights. I wanted 5 to acclimate to the altitude. So far the only thing we have paid for is our MP hike. I am leaving on June 13.
Any help would be very appreciated. Also does anyone know anything about The ecoamanazon Lodge?
Thanks in advance

There's a ton of things to see and do in Cusco, but unless you are a real nut for ruins and colonial architecture (I am) it might be hard to fill up eight days. Some of that time could be spent making jaunts out to the Sacred Valley. Pisac and Ollantaytambo have impressive ruins, and Pisac has its market each Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Cusco does have a lot of yummy restaurants and quite a selection of nightlife.
If I'm reading your itinerary right and this is the order in which you plan to travel, it would put you there for the winter solstice and Cusco's famous Inti Raymi festival. If that's the case, make hotel reservations now if you haven't already. The city fills up quickly.

As noted, there are lots of things to do in Cusco, but I think 8 nights is overdoing it. It should be noted that Puno and Lake Titicaca are actually at a higher altitude (12,500 feet) than Cusco (10,000 feet), so you will already have some acclimitization time in.
