2 Days in Ushuaia, too much?
I will take a curise to Antartica form Ushuaia. The flight will arrive in the early afternoon one day before the curise departed. After coming back to Ushuaia, in order to get the best fare, I need to stay additional night before leaving to EZE. Will save $165USD if I do so. Is that worth to do? Anything to do in Ushuaia if I have 2 days? Thanks.

I was only in Ushuaia for the day before my Antarctic cruise and the morning after, so I only did a walking tour of the city and visited the jail and museum.
However, a number of my fellow travelers did do a number of activities in Ushuaia before departure. Most visited Tierra del Fuego National Park, my cabin mate did a boat cruise in the Beagle Channel, and a couple did some glacier trekking. I believe there's also a visit to an Estancia you can arrange and combine with a cruise in the Beagle channel.
Unfortunately, after your trip to Antarctica, the vistas in Tierra del Fuego won't be that interesting, nor will a cruise in the Beagle channel, nor will another visit to a penguin colony. Some dayhiking in Tierra del Fuego would be good as you won't have a chance to really stretch your legs in Antarctica, and the visit to the Estancia could be fun.
Though, to tell the truth, I think I'd rather spend an extra night in EZE.

One thing to consider is balancing the savings from the airfare with the additional expenses you're going to incur in Ushuaia - hotel, meals, sightseeeing, etc.
There's a lot to do around Ushuaia; and even in town. But it's not everyone's cup of tea, and whether you would enjoy the extra time depends on your personal likes/preferences.
We had two full days on our own - granted, we had to stick close to town because we were trying to find one of our bags that went missing for a while (thank you United Airlines).
You can easily spend an afternoon just browsing Avenida San Martin (the main drag downtown), walking down to the water to check out the ships in port, visiting Museo Maritimo and other museums in town. We had an excellent dinner at Kaupe (made advance reservations requesting a table by the window and watched the Nordnorge sail on its voyage while we enjoyed our meal). Had hoped to do the long cruise on the Beagle Channel to go out to the Estancia as well, but had to change that to the three-hour cruise since we were trying to stay in close contact with the airlines. (Pick a smaller boat if you do this; they have an easier time getting close to the wildlife colonies. The downside, the smaller boats don't always have bi-lingual narration, which can be a problem if you don't speak Spanish.)
We weren't too impressed with Tierra del Fuego, but I think that was because we were with a group and could not do much hiking and the like (this was our third day in Ushuaia when we joined our Quark group); and the weather was very gloomy as well. Had we gone on our own, as originally planned, I think we would have enjoyed the park a lot more.
I would suggest lining up ideas on the things you would like to do and then playing it by ear based on the weather, which is fickle ... we had everything from sunshine to snow and hail in one day while in Ushuaia.
If you do a search on my name, you'll find a link to my review of our voyage (it's very long). After the general details of the voyage, I have day-by-day reviews of the things we did.
Enjoy your voyage. Can't wait to go back someday.
