Zurich and Luzern Question

I'm another person who has been to both Zurich and Lucern (I go twice annually) and who enjoy both places very much. You cannot go wrong, what ever you decide. Lucern, IMO, is one of the most scenic cities anywhere!
LEM, I note you are staying a couple of nights in another of my favorite Swiss towns.. Locarno!! I always say, if I win the lottery I'll buy a house in Locarno! I hope you enjoy it. Are you staying on the lake?? We always stay at La Palma Au Lac, which is actually in Muralto, very close to the train station, and right along the lovely lakeside. If you have not yet chosen your hotel, you might consider it. You can easily walk from La Palma to the main shopping area in Locarno, plus there are great outdoor eateries just minutes away.
