Zell am See vs Kitzbuhel for non skiers

For those that have visited both, which would have more options in winter for a non skier for a few days? I would be interested in sleigh rides and outdoor pastimes mostly, but also good food and wine. And more of a romantic spot than one which would be popular for families would be preferred.

As a point of reference, I was in Garmisch last winter and, although pretty, it is not a place I would want to do for more than a few hours.

IMO both Kitz and Zell am See are quite similar to Garmisch.

Kitz is quite upscale and many restaurants offer excellent food. I also think it offers more outdoor activities for non-skiers. The small old town section is picturesque.

I thought the scenery around Zell am See is more beautiful and dramatic. The old town is also charming, but it is not as upscale and the food probably not as good as in Kitz.

For a romantic place I would recommend a smaller town (best a village). I personally prefer Switzerland. Somehow it is more romantic there ;-)

For somewhere romantic with good food and wine, given you are in Austria, I would highly recommend Lech, a very cute and quaint resort. Nearby similar resorts include Zurs and St Christoph.

Should you need additional action, St Anton is also close by.

Thank you for the suggestions.

Switzerland is too far, as we will be in Munich and Salzburg on either end of the trip.

I will check out the other villages as they sound more of what I have in mind.
