Your favorite site for cheap airfares to Paris?

My friend has just informed me that a photo taken of her by a design student at Parsons in NY, will be part of an exhibit showing at the Louvre, sometime (as yet undetermined) before Christmas. I told her she must go- imagine, seeing your own self hanging in the Louve? I've told her that I'm sure somewhere there is a way to find a cheaper ticket to Paris (flying from Michigan).

Are any of the zillion sites for cheap airfare better in your experience than others?

Thanks.

Some people have come to my town (Toronto ) to fly. Southwest to Buffalo, shuttle in to Toronto.

Very cheap flights.

northwest, air france and British air all have had cheap specials for travel thru Mar - friend just booked return fly into Paris and return from London for about $490 total, taxes included - no cheap airlines fly this route and you are best off going to the website of the major carries serving Detroit-Paris - Air France and Northwest - British Air does Detroit-Paris via London.

Thanks. I'll look at flyzoom. I always check the majors, I'm looking for things I might not know of.

Checkout farecompare.com...you can easily see prices (but need to go somewhere else to book) for any week of the year.

direct flights aren't always the cheapest but at this time of year they often are - watch for sales - some just ended. Yes you could save a few bucks by flying from Detroit to Atlanta to Boston to Paris - but for those who don't care for flying i'll pay more for direct - and i've always got a cheap fare in off-season direct from airlines that couldn't be beat. Air France recent sale from Detroit that just ended was $176 each way or something plus $110 taxes for travel thru March - can't beat that.
